Indigenous people make up about 4% of the Canadian population however According to a 2017 CTV News analysis, an Indigenous person in Canada is more than 10 times more likely to be shot and killed by a police officer than a white person. Between 2017 and 2020, 25 Indigenous people were shot and killed by the RCMP, Canada’s federal and national police service.

The Indigenous movement has become more than just human rights violations against indigenous people. It is also about the government, media and corporations ignoring the betterment of the planet for the benefit of few, and the racism and oppression indigenous people have faced for 530 years while maintaining a hard and tough fight for freedom on our own land....My heart breaks for my people💔
